The project “Verklärter Rohr” (or “transfigured tube”) is a live performance for bass clarinet (Charlotte Layec), electronic instruments and generative video. This innovative piece explores different spaces of dialogue between a musician (being sensitive and spontaneous) and logical and mathematical operators who control digital instruments (set of audio descriptors, musical algorithms, electroacoustic lutherie and a generative video program).
“Verklärter Rohr” is a journey around a bass clarinet, transformed by means of digital audio treatments that propose multiple phantasmagoria. The musician interacts in real time with the audio and video device to create a musical atmosphere that is sometimes dreamlike and vaporous, sometimes pointillist and virtuoso.
